Lower Back Pain: The Best and Worst Back Pain Products and Everything Else In Between!
Back pain products can be a great alternative to medication and expensive services such as massage therapy and acupuncture. The advantage with purchasing back pain equipment or back pain products is that you have access to the product at any time and you don't have to continue to pay fees. Moreover, you can accomplish lower back pain relief in the comfort and privacy of your own home. Although there are many different types of back pain products on the market, not all products are worth the investment. In this article you will discover what products are beneficial for lower back pain, which products are not and which products a good BUT should be used with caution.
The Good
One of the best back pain products I've seen is one that requires very little effort on your part. It gently alleviates the back by stretching the back away from the waist and separating the vertebrae. This simple but effective process relieves the pressure on the vertebrae, spinal discs and nerves. It's a pretty straightforward process that entails a gradual rocking motion. Unlike other back pain products, this unit protects the user from further injuries, it holds your shoulder and hips square to the spine, and this prevents awkward twisting and shifting. This back pain equipment also helps those suffering from Sciatica, pinched nerve, sciatic pain, Scoliosis, Disc conditions (prolapsed/ruptured/bulged disc), Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Non-specific lower back pain, and Degenerative disc disease.
There has been many successful lower back pain relief stories about this product. It has been clinically tested, comes with a 5 year warranty and has a 30 day money back guarantee. To watch a video on the effectiveness of this back pain product – click here!
The Bad
Unfortunately , there are many products on the market that claim they cure back pain. Some devices are absolutely ineffective and a waste of money. Then there are medications. Medication can be good for serious or life threatening ailments however, for back pain it shouldn't be your only means of achieving back pain relief. Medications, whether they are over the counter of prescription usually have very harsh side effects. Whether you experience these side effects today or in 10 years doesn't matter, because they do alter the way the body functions. For example Robax is a drug that is commonly used for back pain, however it can also come with side effects that can be very unpleasant. This includes, bloating or gas, constipation , decreased appetite, diarrhea, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, heartburn or indigestion, light headedness, nausea and vomiting, nervousness, stomach pain or cramps, unusually coloured urine, blurred vision, fluid retention (e.g., swollen ankles), increased urination, itchy skin, rash, ringing in the ears, signs of liver problems.
Instead of always reaching for medication to relieve your back pain, look for other alternatives that are more natural.
Good But…Be Cautious
Back braces are great for maintaining your posture and limiting motion of the spine. Although this can be beneficial it can also be detrimental. Wearing a back brace for an extensive amount of time can cause atrophy of the muscles, which is basically your muscle wasting away.
Continuous Passive motion devices have been advertised very heavily on TV and throughout the internet. There have been a lot of mixed reviews about this back pain equipment. So, if you are curious about the unit and would like to test it out there has been a good number of success stories but there has also been a good amount of unsatisfied stories. You will have to buy with caution!

Tennis Elbow Symptoms and Treatment
Tennis elbow is a painful medical condition that is caused by the overt repetition of movement in the wrists. This condition leads to the inflammation of the tendons on the lateral end of the bicep muscle, which is located adjacently to the elbow. This part of the arm is otherwise known as the lateral epicondyle. Symptoms will typically range from pain to soreness or a dull aching of the arm muscles. Grasping objects with the hands can be a difficult task to accomplish, as well. Other terms that are officially recognized for this condition in the medical community are epitrochlear bursitis and Lateral epicondylitis.
Contrary to popular belief, this problem is one that is not limited to just tennis players. It is something that can happen to anyone who accidentally strains his or her wrists. These incidents are almost always traced back to active participation in a sports activity like racquetball, but that is not always the cause. Young people are also afflicted with this condition during rigorous play or physical activity. Young people who are involved in children's tennis are often placated with tennis elbow. Other people who are more commonly diagnosed with tennis elbow include those who spend long hours typing on a computer, construction workers, painters, cooks, dancers or anyone who frequently engages in the repetitive motion of their wrists.
Treating the tennis elbow condition will first require an official diagnosis by a qualified physician. Since x-rays generally do not show any signs of symptoms, doctors will typically resort to a physical examination in which the patient undergoes a series of small tests. The patient will be asked to perform certain movements of the arm, thus providing the physician with a clear idea of how well they are able to flex the arm muscles. Once a diagnosis has been made, the patient will either be administered a shot of cortisone or given a choice of antibiotics. Situations will vary. The patient will almost always be expected to wear a special arm brace until the condition heals. Surgical treatment is generally recommended if the condition does not subside after six months.

Straight posture
Straight posture:
Old is gold but getting older also means slouching and stooping. Apart from reducing muscular tension and stress on bones and ligaments, good from posture is sure fire way to appear confident, capable, and HOT!
So what is it that makes Lara Stone,Natasha Poly and Freja Beha Erichsen rock the catwalk? Their Super Straight Posture, of course! Try this clever old-school trick. Put a heavy book (or two if you are up for a real challenge) on your head and walk up and down your room. Your spine immediately lengthens and your shoulders widen. This also allows overused, fatigued, and painful muscles to release, the natural curves in your spine to balance their forces, and a respite from any stresses in your day. Do this for 20 minutes a day and slowly it will become your habit.
Lifting weights to improve posture may seem strange but the repetitive moves strengthen the upper back, lats, lower back and abdominals which, as we have learnt, pulls our body back in to balance. A personal trainer at a gym will be able to show you the moves you need to perfect but it's important to remember that when it comes to using weights, for women it's less weight, more repetition.
If you tend to slump forward when sitting at your desk (the majority of us do), then a tennis ball could be just the trick. For every inch your head moves forward, it increases the strain on the neck by 10 pounds. Poor neck positioning can lead to forward head posture, which is a common cause of neck strain and back pain. You can correct your posture and relieve pain. While sitting in your chair, slide a tennis ball between your back and the back of the chair and hold the ball in place by pressing your back against it. Keeping the tennis ball in place forces you to sit up straight and helps remind you to practice better posture. A little uncomfortable maybe, but its only necessary for the length of time it takes for you to be aware of how you are sitting.
Pilate's exercises are designed to restore the natural curves of the spine and rebalance the muscles and joints by focusing improving core strength. A key element to good posture is strengthening the muscles in the upper back and learning how to keep the shoulder blades down and pulled slightly together. Pilates can help you to achieve this and with practice, you will be able to hold your stomach in and keep your pelvis and lower back in the optimal position for good posture.
They're words no women want to hear but we know it to be the truth - wearing heels daily is not good for our posture. Heels throw you off balance and shorten hamstrings which effect posture. Like most great things in life they are fine in small doses but should be the exception rather than the rule. Try wearing shoes that correct posture to and from the office and swap for hells once safely behind your desk.
As well as being heavenly, massage can also help correct posture problems by re-training the overworked muscles that pull your body out of balance. The neck, shoulders, and lower back are areas that store excessive tension so book yourself a massage for a renewed, knot-free and relaxed body. The therapeutic movements can also relieve pressure around the joints, allowing the body to move without stiffness.

Effects of a Shoulder Injury Prevention Strength Training Program
This is a literature review study that is going to review the topic, effects of a shoulder injury prevention strength training program, on eccentric external rotator muscle strength and glenohumeral joint imbalance in female overhead activity athletes. Under this study, reasons why the study was done, how it was done, and the results and conclusions that were drawn will be reviewed. The disparity of the eccentrically-activated exterior rotator cuff muscles against the concentrically-activated internal rotator cuff muscles is the most important risk factor for glenohumeral joint injuries in overhead goings-on athletes
Purpose of the study
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of a shoulder injury
Prevention strength training program on eccentric external rotator muscle strength and
Glenohumeral joint imbalance, in female overhead activity athletes.
Methods and scope of study
There were 12 participants who took part in this study all through the preseason training.(n=6) was the first team participating in a 4 times a week in a span of 5 weeks ,external shoulder rotator muscles strength training program which was next to their preseason tennis training. The second team (n=6) took part in a comparable preseason tennis training program, although they did not conduct any upper body strength training.
Subjects
In this study the subjects were two collegiate women tennis teams made up of 12 women.
Protocol and procedures
Pre-and post training data of 5 maximal eccentric external, immediately followed concentric internal contractions on a kin-com isokinetic dynamometer, were compared.
Instrumentation
There were different instruments that were used in the study. The main instrument was Kin-com isokinetic dynamometer.
This is a quantitative type of variable as the measurements are continuous.
Findings
The shoulder strength teaching program significantly enlarged eccentric external total work without momentous effects on concentric interior total work, concentric internal mean peak force, or eccentric outer mean peak force.
Conclusion and recommendation
Through increase of the eccentric outer sum exercise, capacity in the absence of a subsequent increase in the concentric inner total exercise capability, this strength teaching program potentially reduces shoulder rotator muscle imbalances and the risk for shoulder injuries to overhead activity athletes.
Nonisokinetic dynamometer based force training studies ought to focus on resulting concentric and also applicable eccentric strength gains of the exterior rotator cuff muscles. This will help in the reduction in glenoumeral joint muscle imbalance, to do away with the earlier notion that presently used shoulder strength training programs do not successfully reduce the peril of shoulder damage to the overhead activity athlete.
