What Kind of Shoes Must I Wear On A Mini Trampoline?
The great thing about a mini trampoline is it can be used both outside and inside. This begs the question then: what kind of footwear is most suitable? Will certain shoes ruin the trampoline pad? Will it be safe to jump in your bare feet? What about socks?
We are right here to respond to these kinds of questions completely so that you can increase your convenience while also being safe.
Let's start by covering the shoes we advise you DO use for your small trampoline. Naturally, you need to first consult with any records which came with your rebounder for certain guidelines from the manufacturer.
A set of tennis, running, or cross-training shoes are great for performing exercises with a little trampoline. They have adequate traction on the soles to make sure you do not slide, yet these are still comfortable enough to not cause damage to the trampoline top layer after awhile. Added to that, these types of footwear give very good support for individuals who have weaker arches or perhaps in case you find your feet hurt after having a round on the mini trampoline. These types of shoes are created for leaping, which will let you stay stable while jumping your way to your health and fitness objectives.
Much better than tennis shoes are no shoes. Your bare feet come furnished with a natural non-slip sole. Furthermore, you will have the ability to experience the subtle adjustments to the surface of the mini trampoline which will let you get used to alterations in your bouncing sequence. Additionally, bouncing in your naked feet can help bolster your foot muscle tissues that will otherwise not be used while wearing footwear. It really comes down to comfort and choice regardless of whether you want to slip on tennis shoes or leave your feet uncovered.
An excellent compromise in between bare feet and footwear come in the form of Vibram FiveFinger footwear. They might appear odd, but they genuinely do give the non-slip grip of a footwear with the overall flexibility and subtle movements that accompany barefoot rebounding!
Regarding safety sake, our recommendation is that you don't use the following when using a little trampoline. You will also extend the lifespan of your trampoline by simply following these suggestions.
While it might be attracting to bounce with your socks, particularly when working out in your own home, it is a bad idea. Your socks give the bottom of your feet without any traction by any means. The top of the trampoline is smooth too. Add to that the fact that you'll be bouncing and turning on the trampoline and it's a recipe for disaster.
If we haven't already stated it in this posting, then it is most likely not a smart idea to don on a mini trampoline. We are talking about stuff like flip-flops, sandals, cleats, boots, dress footwear, high heels, slippers, the list can go on and on. Apply common sense and stick with bare feet or sports footwear having soft soles while rebounding. It is going to make sure that you and also your trampoline last for many years to come.

Hong Kong Food: The cuisines of Asia's World City
The cuisines of China (particularly the Cantonese) are dominating Hong Kong's culinary scene, and that is no surprise, as most Hong Kongers are of Cantonese origin. Alongside the Chinese cuisines, you will find many restaurants specializing in other Far East cuisines, such as Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and others... European and British influence can also be found, as Hong Kong was a British colony for more than 150 years.
Moreover, it can be said that during the years Hong Kong developed its own unique cuisine that combines Cantonese cooking with other elements…
Yum cha ("drinking tea") is an integral part of Hong Kong's culinary culture.
This Cantonese term refers to the custom of eating small servings of different foods, mainly dim sum, while sipping Chinese tea.
Dim sum is probably Hong Kong's most popular dish. It literally translates to "touch the heart", which means "take what your heart picks" (that is because of the great variety you can choose from…)
Dim sum is typically served as a light meal or brunch that consists of various types of steamed buns, dumplings and rice-rolls, containing a range of fillings, including beef, chicken, pork, prawns and vegetarian options…
It is normally eaten some time from morning to early afternoon and usually served with Chinese tea.
Visiting a traditional Hong Kong style teahouse for Yum Cha is strongly recommended.
Another true "Hong Kong institution" is the Cha Chaan Teng: A casual restaurant which can be described as a hybrid between a Chinese teahouse and a café… Those places are normally open from morning till evening and serve a variety of local favorites… from Hong Kong style toasts and milk tea to rice and noodle specialties.
The Cantonese cuisine comes from the area around the city of Guangzhou (Canton), in Guangdong Province, just a short drive from Hong Kong.
Of the different Chinese cuisines, Cantonese is the most popular outside China, probably thanks to the fact that it is not as spicy as some of its "counterparts"…
Great diversity of ingredients is, perhaps, what characterizes the Cantonese cuisine more than anything else… The Cantonese cuisine makes use of almost every ingredient under the sun and as the famous Chinese saying goes "The Cantonese will eat everything that swims except the boat, everything that flies except the airplane, and everything that runs except the car"...
The Cantonese cuisine is also characterized by the use of very mild and simple spices in combination. Ginger, spring onion, sugar, salt, soy sauce, rice wine, corn starch and oil are sufficient for most Cantonese cooking, although garlic is also used abundantly.
Steaming, stir frying and deep frying seem to be the most popular cooking methods in Cantonese restaurants due to the short cooking time, and the philosophy of bringing out the flavor of the freshest ingredients.
Other than the ultimate Dim sum, recommended Cantonese dishes include Sweet and sour fish, Fried Garoupa fish, Deep-fried crispy chicken, Crispy pig belly, Roast Suckling Pig And, of course… the costly Braised Shark's fin and Abalone
The Chiu Chow (Teochew) cuisine comes from Chiuchow (now called 'Chaozhou'), a city in China's Guangdong Province, not far from Guangzhou and Hong Kong. Expectedly, this cooking style is very similar to Cantonese cuisine, although Chiuchow cuisine does maintain a certain degree of culinary independence…
Poached cold crab, Baby oyster with omelets, Chiu Chow style roast duck and Chiu Chow soya goose are some of the recommended dishes.
The Sichuan (Szechwan) cuisine originates from Sichuan Province in southwestern China and has an international reputation for being hot and spicy.
The most common ingredient is the Sichuan peppercorn, or Fagara: An indigenous plant whose peppercorns produce a fragrant, numbing, almost citrusy spice. Other common spices include Chilli, Ginger, Star anise, Fennel seed, Coriander, Chili bean paste, Garlic and Spicy herbs.
Common cooking methods include smoking, stir frying, braising and simmering, which allow peppers and aromatic seasonings time to infuse food with unforgettable tastes and aromas
Famous Sichuan dishes include Sichuan style dan-dan noodle, Pork slices in a garlic sauce with a hint of chili, Braised beef in Szechwan pepper sauce, Kung Pao chicken, Ma Por tofu and Twice Cooked Pork.
Peking/Beijing (Mandarin) cuisine originates from China's capital city.
It developed over the centuries by thousands of skilled cooks from China's different regions, who flocked to the "big city" to work for royal families and wealthy government officials.
Peking duck is, by far, the most popular Pekingese dish, and it is mostly prized for its thin and crispy skin. Other famous dishes of the Peking cuisine include Hot and sour soup, as well as Sautéed sliced beef with scallion and Drunken pigeon.
The Shanghainese cuisine originates from coastal provinces around the city of Shanghai and is characterized by the use of alcohol. Fish, eel, crab and chicken are "drunken" with spirits and usually served raw.
Salted meats and preserved vegetables are also commonly used to spice up the dish. Another "secret ingredient" of the Shanghainese cuisine is sugar…
Sweet and sour spare ribs, Beggar's Chicken, Shanghai hairy crab, "eight treasure" duck, "drunken" chicken, braised eel and yellow fish are the most popular dishes…
Contemporary fusion cuisine has made it big in Hong Kong over the last few years… The city's chefs keep on coming up with innovative culinary creations that combine China's different cooking styles with those of other regions, and the results are surprisingly delicious.
Japanese, Indian, Korean and Southeast Asian restaurants are very popular in Hong Kong and are well worth considering, especially if you are tired of Chinese food but still want to try something "authentic".

Play Online Tennis Game - What You Need to Know?
In order to become a successful tennis player, it is deemed necessary to sharpen your skills with constant practice. While there are people who would love the opportunity to create this time, busy work and school schedules do not give them the opportunity to meet this end. It is for this reason that playing the tennis game online is considered the best option. By practicing these skills online using your keyboard and mouse, you can become an expert in the actual field. However, before proceeding to indulge in the same, you should consider the following factors.
Why You Should Consider Playing Online
- Different games have different rules and therefore, the first thing that you must do is understand the rules of play. Different keys are used to execute different commands and for this reason, you ought to familiarize yourself with all of them in order to become a better player.
- While playing, you should watch the techniques used to smash the ball. Most of the online sites that provide this sort of gaming have a session for practice where they allow players to try out their skills. Consider using the same in order to eliminate your fear of missing some shots. In order to increase your probability of getting the most, it is advisable to play another online player.
- For those people who have perfected the skills of actual gaming, it is easier for them to grasp the lessons needed for playing online. While this is the case, they should aspire to learn more about developments made in the industry as well as find out the new techniques in the virtual world and from there, adapt that same technique.

- It gives you the opportunity to save lump sums of money. If you were to involve the skills of a professional trainer to perfect your gaming skills, you would be expected to pay a hefty amount for the training sessions. However, by opting to play online, you are not expected to pay anything and this invariably lowers your costs.
- With online options, you also get the opportunity to evaluate the skills you have acquired so far. This is because you get a feedback of how you play and get to learn the areas you perform poorly in. This in turn gives you the opportunity to perfect your of playing tennis game online.

SEGA Superstars Tennis (Xbox 360) $5.99 You've spent a sweaty summer afternoon on the tennis court wishing you could face off against AiAi from Super Monkey Ball instead of your slightly out of breath Dad, right? Of course you have! Well, now SEGA is giving you the chance. SEGA has, let's face it, one of the most revered catalogues of intellectual property in the games industry. Now, it does to the tennis game what Nintendo has done for the beat 'em up with Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Namely, it has brought together its best know characters in one place to face off against each other (obviously they use tennis rackets instead of fists and weapons!) Players will find 15 playable SEGA characters up for grabs, including Sonic the Hedgehog, AiAi from Super Monkeyball fame, Ulala of Space Channel 5 and Amigo from Samba De Amigo. They'll square off in areas like the Green Hill Zone or Amigo’s Carnival Park. You won't just find yourself knocking balls back and forth between different SEGA characters, however. You'll also need to get stuck into various tennis-themed mini games. You can swat spheres at zombies in a House of the Dead stage, or knock monkey balls through gates by serving tennis balls at them, to name just a couple. The game comes with a multi-player mode that allows one to four players to take each other on either locally or online. Go on, you always wanted to cream someone at tennis as Sonic. Right...? |

Rockstar Presents Table Tennis (Xbox 360) $3.99 Rockstar serves up a pure videogaming treat with Table Tennis. Indeed, our thumbs hurt so much from playing this game that it’s actually painful for us to type these few laudatory words to tell you why you should buy and play this game with your friends as soon as you possibly can. In fact, we’ll go one step further. We’ll even say that should you have withheld buying an Xbox 360 up to this point - for whatever reason - be you a Microsoft-hater or just plain skint: this game is the reason for you to go out and buy, beg or steal one. It really is that good. It’s like videogames used to be. It’s the kind of game that you and your friends will tan the ar*e off for months to come. This game will be spoken about in ten years time, just as men in their thirties now who should really know better, speak about Kick Off 2 or Sensible Soccer or Speedball 2. It is pure multiplayer videogaming joy. And unlike the aforementioned games, it also has the extra added bonus of being a truly beautiful-looking game. The numerous characters and their little dances of glory, the beautifully rendered stadia and the many other attention to graphical detail touches in the game are a joy to look at (which you never really could say for Sensi or Kick Off 2!). And the many extra little touches in the game, such as the perfectly executed music and oh-so-subtle audio touches (such as when the ball just tickles the net) really top off the overall experience. Really, after playing this game for a good few days in single player mode, or against the odd friend who wandered into our lair, we thought we had almost experienced the full amount of ping pong joy that the Rockstar San Diego guys had engineered for us. Then we played it online, and a whole new world of joy arrived courtesy of Xbox Live. Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis is perhaps one of the greatest online videogame experiences yet devised by man. If you are not, or have never been, particularly interested in online role-playing games, first person shooters or beat-em-ups, then this is the game to entice you into the online future. Why is the game so fiendishly addictive? It is because the controls are very simple to pick up yet deviously difficult to master. Anyone can play the game. Few can reach ping pong ninja status. But as you try to better your game, you really get involved in the flow of the play, just like you do in real ping pong. You might even be totally talentless, but even so, now and then you will show a flash of brilliance, which keeps you interested in the game. There are perhaps a few minor gripes about the game, which seems almost criminal to even mention. The movement of the actual characters is sluggish, but then, it’s not about the character movement (this is not Virtua Tennis, nor is it trying to be): it’s all about the movement and flow of the ball, and of the arm, and the spin off the bat. Totally immersive, hugely enjoyable Zen-like videogaming bliss. Buy it. Play it. Smile. |

These involve things like knocking down ninepins with well-directed serves; volleying balls into the middle of targets; playing bingo with numbers that move across the screen above the net; and keeping encroaching Space Invaders away from the net by knocking them down with volleys and smashes. Work your way through the mini-games and your player's attributes improve. There's also a Tennis Academy for more normal training, which sets you some seriously tricky tasks. Add to this the improved AI over previous versions, the chance to play online (Xbox Live) and the true to life player visuals, and Virtua Tennis moves on apace from any of its previous incarnations. Virtua Tennis 3 majors on customisation, from players (create your own to take on all-comers) right up to constructing your own tournaments. This is complemented by the use not only of real player images (and names) but also by the matching of their actual skills and preferences (grass, clay, long game, net-play) to their virtual characters. The depth of the AI, game-play and customisation is matched by the next-gen graphics and audio, both of which reflect the arenas, practice areas and camera angles that bring the video game Virtua variety of tennis close to the real thing. |
