Latest & Greatest $8.98 Latest & Greatest may sound like a typical "best-of" collection, but don't be fooled, these are new recordings of songs both familiar and under the radar. A cover of Led Zeppelin's "In the Light" starts things off, and it does little to dispel all of the "Zeppelin wannabe" talk that circulated around the band in their late-'80s heyday, as vocalist Jack Russell does a better Robert Plant than the man himself. Greatest & Latest $15.98 After splitting from the Ramones in 1989, co-founding member Dee Dee Ramone tried his hand at a variety of projects -- a recording career as a rapper, penning books, painting -- but it was his work with the Ramones that he will always be best remembered for. Eventually, Dee Dee began playing Ramones covers and originals once more (as a solo act), resulting in such releases as 2000's Greatest & Latest. Joined by his wife, Barbara Ramone (who supplies Joan Jett-like lead vocals to several songs), Dee Dee rips through such Ramones standards as "Blitzkrieg Bop," "Teenage Lobotomy," "Cretin Hop," and "Pinhead," in addition to covers (the Everly Brothers' "Cathy's Clown") and Ramones-like originals ("Fix Yourself Up"). Dying Is Your Latest Fashion $42.99 On Dying Is Your Latest Fashion, Vegas quintet Escape the Fate are actually quite competent in the emo vein of post-hardcore that they reside in, providing all of the emotional singing versus throaty growling and winding guitar lines versus hardcore breakdowns necessary. The pummeling drumbeats never falter (except in the obligatory acoustic closer, the bitter "The Day I Left the Womb"), and the band's collective love of metal is always lingering somewhere in the background. Escape the Fate do it up with enough piss, vinegar, and melodic hooks to spare, the mosh pit sure to swell and explode at the mere opening notes of their sets, although the music sounds like it could be played by From First to Last, the Used, or a more abrasive My Chemical Romance. The band addresses love and loss through standard-issue blood-soaked imagery of guillotines, corpses, red lipstick, and darkness, and vocalist Ronnie Radke sounds like he means each impassioned line. In the semifinals, he played Fernando Verdasco. Ferrer was leading Verdasco 7-6(3), 4-2, before ultimately losing 7-6(3), 5-7, 1-6. Ferrer's next tournament was the 2010 Rome Masters, where he was seeded 13th. In the first round, Ferrer defeated Evgeny Korolev 6-4, 6-1, and then in the second round, he defeated Potito Starace 7-5, 6-2. In the third round, he defeated world No. 5 Andy Murray 6-3, 6-4, and then in the quarterfinals, he defeated world No. 10 Jo Wilfried Tsonga 6-4, 6-1. He faced world No. 9 Fernando Verdasco for a spot in his first Masters 1000 event, where he won 7-5, 6-3. Ferrer ultimately succumbed to rafael nadal in the final 5-7, 2-6. Due to his fantastic run in Rome, his ranking increased to world No. 12.
Ferrer' next tournament was the 2010 Mutua Madrileña Madrid Open, where he was seeded ninth. In the first round, he defeated Jeremy Chardy 6-3, 7-6(2). In the second round, he will either face Marcos Baghdatis for a spot in the round of 16.
