Virtua Tennis 2009 (Wii) $10.99 As what passes for the British summer rolls around once again, it's time to start thinking about dusting off your tennis shorts. For many since 1999, this has meant not heading down to the local court to dodge the broken glass and 'dog left-overs': no, it means getting your thumbs on Virtua Tennis, be that in the arcades, on a Dreamcast or on a high-powered next generation console. As the series has done in previous years, Virtua Tennis 2009 offers up a host of real-life tennis stars across some of the most realistic courts to be found away from...well, real courts! The likes of Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer are on offer, while you can play as Maria Sharapova against Venus Williams for a bit of classic court action. There are also a handful of new players taking to the court, including Andy Murray and ladies French Open champion Ana Ivanovic. Adding another layer of authenticity, they can all take part in the Davis Cup thanks to a spot of official license grabbing by SEGA. The series has been tweaked in numerous ways, not least of which is the improvement of the online mode. There's a brand new online ranking system, so you can show the world how you've shaped up over the years of perfecting your slice. Court Games make a return, enabling players to test their skills in single and multiplayer modes, not just in ball breaking matches, but also in a host of mini-games. Watch out for crocodiles, fruit and pirates... So, put on your shorts, because you're in for a hot time in front of your TV, if nowhere else! |

Chances of undergraduate admission to UC Berkeley, UC San Diego?
I am a rising senior, planning to enroll for the fall of 2009. I will be applying for regular decision for both schools.
GPA--4.45(top 5%)
SAT--2230(M-770, V-680, W-780)
PSAT--227
AP--5(US History, English Lang & Comp), 4(Comp Sci A)
2 years varsity tennis (including next year)
3 years varsity orchestra(freshman-junior year only, not joining senior year)
Upcoming schedule:
AP Biology
AP Physics B
AP Calculus AB
AP English Literature
AP Government
AP Macroeconomics
Tennis
Study Hall
All your advice is greatly appreciated!
I forgot to mention that I am applying from out of state.
If you are a California resident, graduation in the top 5 per cent of your class assures you a place at a UC school, however it does not assure admission to a specific one. UCB and UCSD are two of the three most competitive UC schools (UCLA is the third). I would expect that with your record you are a good candidate for UCB or UCSD, but if I were you I would also apply to one or two of the other system schools (Davis, Santa Cruz, Irvine, Riverside,Modesto) to be safe.

Winners $10.38 By the time Winners was wrapped up in the studio, Kleeer were riding high on the disco wave, thanks in no small part to the smash singles on their debut record, "Keeep Your Body Workin'" and "Tonight's the Night." With Winners, the group deviates a slight bit, with less straightforward uptempo in-your-face disco and more of an R&B slant than before. The title track stays in fine disco form, but things slow down right away with two borderline quiet storm jams in "I Still Love You" and "Your Way." The rest of the album is pretty upbeat, and Winners definitely eludes the cursed sophomore slump that most bands fear. ~ Rob Theakston, Rovi Performers: Eric Rohrbaugh - Arp Omni, Mini Moog, Clavinet, Fender Rhodes, Keyboards; Norman Durham - Arp Omni, Arp Pro Soloist, Harpsichord, Vocals (Background), Fender Rhodes, Clavinet, Percussion, Guitar, Bass, Vocals, Guitar (Bass), Synthesizer, Keyboards; Brooks Tillotson - French Horn; Carole Sylvan - Vocals (Background); Louis Small - Fender Rhodes, Keyboards; Melanie Moore - Vocals (Background); Paul Crutchfield - Conga, Vocals (Background), Vocals, Percussion; |

Can I watch the Federer/Djokovic match online for free tonight?
I'm a Feddie fan, and I would really like to see this match tonight. I'm out of town, traveling for Thanksgiving. I don't think there is Tennis Channel here, either ![]()
Actually, I realize that in the U.S it isn't tonight, but probably around 2:00 p.m. I saw the 8:00, but didn't realize until now that it's the time the match begins in London, of course.
